The good thing is that most of the tasks that are not trainings or meetings can be done... Anywhere! So it's impossible not to take advantage of this fact and not enjoy that opportunity to walk around working at the same time.
So this summer, while in the middle of the preparation of a big project, THINKING-BIG went on a "residence" for a week, to the countryside, in Portugal. The day was filled with a 7 hours computer work and as much as possible of green, grass, animals and fresh air.
All the mental work went great, because the body was already awake with the nature tasks and all the little stops in the middle of the afternoon where filled with a small walk around, watching birds or feeding chicken.
The end of the day of work was never boring and I was never tired. I was thrilled to know that not only the project was progressing quiet well, but also that I had a lot of farmland to do still. Watering the plants at sunset, smelling the land, playing with the dog, letting the mind rest in a natural rhythm... That was all I needed to be fresh again and let new ideas arrive, for the next day.
Besides that, it is amazing how much we learn with the land, with the nature in general. It seems that mixing a demanding work with a peaceful atmosphere gives a brand new energy and ability to keep on going, doing our best but not getting tired.
A great experience, a great "residence", a great piece of life!
And THINKING-BIG growing greener!
