Dance and movement in general are a big inspiration for THINKING-BIG.
Not only because of the creative processes, but also because of all the useful tips that help us understand body communication, sensitivity, space and expression.
One of the references in this field is certainly Pina Bausch. Not only because of the art she created but for the processes she used and for the type of sensibility she had, as a human being.
In this amazing book, originally in Portuguese and written by Claudia Galhós, we dive into Pina's world, into her sensibility, into her positive and productive way of using insecurity as part of a method, in her way of "feeling more" and making her dancers, her public and herself feel more about the world. "We have to learn to see more, hear more, feel more."
This choreographer who "didn't want to think only with her feet", states that "we have to learn to be touched by beauty, by a gesture, by a breath (...): to understand regardless of what we already know."
Inspired by these ideas, Claudia Galhós herself, states in her book that "when the crisis is here, whether it is an economic crisis or a crisis of personal values, we ask ourselves what can we still do. The answer is to dream again and claim our right to happiness."
An inspiring book about dance and life.... And feeling more.
